This remarkable monument of nature is considered to be one of the most beautiful caves in Poland and beyond all doubt, the most popular attraction of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
Its corridors developed within the Middle Devonian limestones which had formed approx. 360 million years ago on the bottom of a shallow sea. The Paradise Cave (in Polish: Jaskinia Raj) is relatively small, the total length of its corridors amounts to barely 240 metres. The temperature inside is constant and reaches about 9° C whereas the humidity level is more or less 95%. Electric lighting has been installed in the cave. Since 1972, it’s been available for guided sightseeing. The trip covers the distance of 180 metres and lasts about 40 minutes.
