Museum of Kielce Countryside

The Museum of Kielce Countryside (Muzeum Wsi Kieleckiej) in Tokarnia near Chęciny, on the trunk road no. 7 from Kielce to Cracow, is one of the largest museums of this kind in all of our country. On more than 70 ha of land, you can admire monuments of the building industry from the region of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and Kielce, dating back to the turn of the 18th and 19th century.

The most interesting parts thereof are: the Suchedniów Manor with fully equipped interiors, built in 1763, the church in Rogowo (where mass is still celebrated to this very day), organist’s house, windmill from Grzmucin, belfry from Kazimierza Wielka, granary from Złota, smithy, numerous homesteads and cottages, equipped with the typical everyday use furniture and devices, as well as craft workshops.

All throughout the year, you can organise company events, parties for organised groups and meetings for individual clients here:

  • meetings in ancient halls of the granary in Złota Pińczowska dating back to the 18th century,
  • special events, team-building feasts,
  • britzska / sleigh rides on the premises of the open-air museum with the view of the Kielce farmhouses,
  • campfires and barbecues on a fully equipped picnic site with an indoor arena,
  • ethnographic workshops and whole-day museum lessons.
